Description

The authentication data is used for password reset (ETH password for web applications, AAI (LDAP)) and multifactor authentication. You will be prompted to provide these when you first log in into https://www.password.ethz.ch, but you can also do so at a later time. The authentication data can contain your private cell phone number and/or your private e-mail address.


Set up authentication data

  1. Go to the website www.passwort.ethz.ch

  2. Log in with your ETH username and ETH password for web applications, AAI (LDAP)

3. In the Reset password field, click "Manage password reset".

4. Enter your private mobile phone number and/or your private email address and then click "Confirm".



Please do not enter your ETH e-mail address as your private e-mail address.
